Residential Padel Court Installation | Central Coast Hinterlands NSW

In the heart of the Central Coast Highlands, a unique challenge presented itself: designing and constructing a bespoke padel court that not only offered a world-class playing experience but also showcased the breathtaking views of the surrounding national park.

The vision was to create a court extending over the cliff edge, providing uninterrupted panoramic views. To achieve this, the Panoramic Padel Court design was chosen, incorporating clear glass panels to ensure the stunning landscape remained visible from all angles. A custom frame fabrication was developed to integrate the post system and replace the second entry door with a glass panel, enhancing the open and airy feel of the court.

Structural integrity was paramount given the challenging cliffside location. The slab extension was meticulously dowelled to the existing slab in accordance with the engineer’s drawings, ensuring stability and durability. A minimal fall was incorporated into the court surface to facilitate proper drainage while maintaining a level playing area. Additionally, a perimeter strip drain was supplied and installed around the court to manage water runoff effectively, protecting both the surface and the underlying structure.

The playing surface features the Laykold Padel Turf Pro synthetic surface, renowned for its exceptional performance, durability, and player comfort. To enable play at any time of day, high-quality lights and light poles were installed, carefully positioned to minimise glare while providing optimal illumination for evening matches. These elements ensure the court remains functional and inviting, regardless of the time or weather conditions.

This cliffside padel court is a testament to the possibilities of combining innovative design with expert craftsmanship. From the seamless integration of the panoramic glass panels to the advanced structural solutions, every element of this project was carefully considered to create a one-of-a-kind sporting experience. The result is a padel court that not only meets the highest standards of playability but also offers an unparalleled connection to the natural beauty of its surroundings.

The whole process was stress free and we could not have asked for a better final result with our custom colour scheme. Now SRC is the place to play Padel & Pickleball – right in the heart of Sydney.”
