Residential Padel Court Installation | Central Coast Hinterlands NSW

Set high in the Central Coast Highlands, this project presented a unique opportunity to deliver a truly one-of-a-kind padel court. The brief was clear: create a premium playing experience while showcasing the breathtaking natural surroundings.

The result is a stunning cliffside padel court that combines world-class performance with uninterrupted panoramic views.

This project was awarded Winner – 2025 Sports & Play Industry Association (Domestic Sports Courts – Synthetic Grass).

The Challenge

Building on a cliffside always brings complexity. The site required careful planning to ensure structural integrity, drainage performance, and a seamless integration with the landscape—without compromising the visual impact.

At the same time, the client wanted an open, premium feel that maximised visibility of the surrounding national park.

The Solution

To achieve this, we selected a panoramic padel court design, featuring clear glass panels to maintain unobstructed views from every angle.

A custom frame system was engineered to:

  • Integrate seamlessly with the post structure
  • Replace the secondary entry door with glass
  • Enhance the open, airy feel of the space

Structurally, the slab extension was dowelled into the existing base in line with engineering specifications, ensuring long-term stability. A subtle fall was incorporated into the surface for effective drainage, supported by a perimeter strip drain system to manage water runoff and protect the court.

Surface & Playability

The court features Laykold Padel Turf Pro, chosen for its:

  • Consistent ball response
  • Player comfort
  • Long-term durability

To maximise usability, high-quality lighting was installed and carefully positioned to minimise glare while delivering optimal illumination for evening play.

The Result

This project is a perfect example of what’s possible when innovative design meets expert construction. The finished court not only delivers exceptional playability, but also creates a truly unique sporting experience—where players are immersed in the natural beauty of the Central Coast Highlands.

Recognition from the Sports & Play Industry Association further reinforces the quality of design, engineering, and delivery achieved on this project.

“We had the pleasure of working with Synthetic Padel Group to design, construct and install two brand new padel courts, and two pickleball courts, for the Sydney Racquet Club at the Entertainment Quarter.
The whole process was stress free and we could not have asked for a better final result with our custom colour scheme. Now SRC is the place to play Padel & Pickleball – right in the heart of Sydney.”
