Our STORY

With over 40 years experience in the design and construction of a range of sporting surfaces across Australia.

Synthetic Padel Group, a subsidiary of Synthetic Sports Group, is our dedicated Padel Court construction and installation company.

Our team is highly skilled at constructing commercial, residential and competition Padel Courts throughout Australia and the rest of the Asia Pacific region.

In 2021, we had the privilege of building the first indoor Padel Courts in Australia for Indoor Padel. Since then, we have constructed numerous indoor and outdoor Padel Courts across Australasia, with more to come.

Synthetic Padel Courts are the preferred padel court installers for our key clients – Indoor Padel Australia, Sydney Racquet Club, and Padel In One.

Matty Thomas

Padel Player, Coach and Padel Pioneer 

Matty was a UK tennis player who trained and competed all around Europe. In 2005, he moved into coaching, coached nine British champions and has worked with players in the top 100. 

In 2013, Matty opened the largest Padel tennis venue in the UK, Padel Nation, and has been championing the sport ever since.

  • Ranked #1 in Australia (2016-2021) and 46 in FIP World Rankings (2020)
  • Set up Padel Nation Padel Club in the UK (2014)
  • Head coach for the Great Britain Junior Team, third-place finishers in the World Championships (2015)
  • Opened Padel Sydney, the first Padel Club in Australia (2015)
  • Head coach of the Australian Padel team at the World Championships (2018)
  • Represented Australia at the Padel World Seniors Championships (2022, 2024), finishing 12th in the world (2024)
  • Trains the coaches, venues and players across the Asia Pacific and created the coaching course for the Australian Padel Federation
